Region Ten Adult Outpatient Services
Region Ten provides outpatient therapy services that are comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-oriented treatment services that address a wide variety of presenting needs. These services include a comprehensive assessment, brief individual therapy (up to 12 sessions), medication management, and group therapy. Service are available via same day access in Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson County offices.

The Women's Initiative
The Women’s Initiative provides mental health services to uninsured or underinsured women age eighteen and over, regardless of ability to pay. Services include walk-in consultations, individual and group counseling, social support offerings, and outreach and education. Treatment is available for a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship problems. Additionally, offerings are designed to provide culturally responsive care for Black women, Latinx women, women of color, those who identify as LGBTQ, and the gender expansive community.

Central Virginia Clinicians of Color Network (CVCCN)
Central Virginia Clinicians of Color Network (CVCCN) is a professional network of clinicians of color who provde racially and culturally affirming counseling for people of color. CVCCN offers referrals for non-crisis therapy services through their clinician of color referral directory.

The Counseling Alliance of Virginiga (CAVA)
The Counseling Alliance of Virginia (CAVA) offers racially sensitive individual, family, couples, and group counseling and accepts a range of insurance, including Medicaid. CAVA also provides free virtual groups including Breathing Room for Black individuals that truly de-center the privileged and create a space to talk and process the micro-aggression and traumas, as well as Multi-Racial Racial Awareness and Sensitivity groups.

Riverbend Integrated Trauma Treatment (RITT)
RITT is an outpatient therapy program that offers a wide range of current and creative therapeutic interventions. Treatment is tailored to address complex issues and help each child/person/family access their own unique and ever-present resources for healing. RITT is staffed with 6 highly skilled senior therapists, each with over 25 years of trauma treatment experience, and RITT Fellows.

Life Works Professional Counseling
Life Works Professional Counseling in Ruckersville, VA clinical staff serve a wide variety of ages and needs, and work from a trauma informed perspective. Several clinicians work with those with substance use challenges. Life Works also has a peer recovery support specialist who can help community members find needed resources to support increased quality of life. They offer individual, family, couples, play, and group therapy and accept a number of private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare plans.

UVA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) New List Item
The University of Virginia Counseling services offers a continuum of mental health care to enrolled UVA students, ranging from 24/7 online/telehealth support, brief individual and combined psychiatry, referral support (care management), and in-person and remote emergency consultation. Accessing CAPS for UVA students is typically conducted using the Healthy Hoos Portal to schedule a 20-minute initial phone screen, or if urgent or an emergency, then access 24/7TalkNow or our walk-in service.

UVA Population Health
The Population Health Department at UVA offers multiple continuity-of-care programs to support the well-being and care of patients transitioning from hospital to home. These behavioral health resources are available for free to eligible patients. UVA faculty & staff are also eligible for behavioral health services through the Population Health Department. Behavioral Health Services includes up to 8 sessions for most concerns and up to 12 sessions for trauma concerns per calendar year.

Shelter for Help in Emergency (SHE)
SHE provides free individual and group supportive counseling provided to residents of the shelter and community members seeking assistance in dealing with domestic/intimate partner violence. Support groups are offered periodically. SHE also staffs 24-hour crisis hotline at 434-293-8509.

Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA)
SARA provides free therapy with Master’s level therapists for men, women, and children of all ages who have been affected by sexual violence. SARA also provides advocacy and systems navigation for survivors, includng non-offending loved ones of survivors. SARA staffs a 24-hour crisis hotline at 434-977-7273.
