Region Ten Emergency Services

Region Ten Crisis Services support individuals who are in acute mental distress and in need of immediate help in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 434-972-1800

Counseling & Community Services

Region Ten Children & Family Services

Region Ten evaluates and treats mental health and/or substance use disorders in children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 with a mental health and/or substance use disorders. They offer a full range of services across the behavioral health spectrum including prevention, family wellness, case management, outpatient counseling, and crisis / emergency services.  Region Ten also provides school based counseling services at Charlottesville High School, Buford Middle School, Albemarle HS, Western Albemarle HS, Monticello HS, Burley MS, and Community Lab Schools.

Infant Toddler Connection of the Blue Ridge (ITCBR)

A child is eligible for early intervention if he or she is developing differently or more slowly than other children or has a health condition that will affect development. The Infant & Toddler Connection of the Blue Ridge will walk you through the eligibility process.

Child Health Partnership

Child Health Partnership provides at-home support to children and parents to promote the health and well-being of families. Child Health partners with families in three primary areas: 1) Promoting health and wellness education, assessments and improved access to care, 2) Encouraging positive parent-child interactions, child development and school readiness, and 3) Supporting family self-sufficiency through employment and connections to community resources. Our free and voluntary program serves pregnant women and families with children under age 7 living in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Louisa, and Fluvanna. Call (434) 964-4700. 

ReadyKids

ReadyKids offers free counseling for children and teens, including trauma therapy.  Ready Kids also offers weekly support groups for transgender and non-binary youth.  Additional family support includes home visiting, Real Dads support group, and early learning opportunities.  They also offer a 24-hour teen crisis hotline at 434-972-SAFE.

Counseling Alliance of Virginia

The Counseling Alliance of Virginia (CAVA) offers racially aware and sensitive therapeutic services for individual, family, couples, and group counseling. CAVA accepts all primary health insurance, Medicaid, and private pay. 

Riverbend Integrated Trauma

RITT is an outpatient therapy program that offers a wide range of current and creative therapeutic interventions.   Treatment is tailored to address complex issues and help each child/person/family access their own unique and ever-present resources for healing. RITT is staffed with 6 highly skilled senior therapists, each with over 25 years of trauma treatment experience, and RITT Fellows.

Women Infant and Children Program (WIC) at BRHD

BRHD offers Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Services, which includes breastfeeding consultations and nutrition counseling, to eligible families. Our Maternal Child Health (MCH) program also provides free cribs and/or car seats to eligible family members.

Postpartum Support Virginia

BRHD offers Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Services, which includes breastfeeding consultations and nutrition counseling, to eligible families. Our Maternal Child Health (MCH) program also provides free cribs and/or car seats to eligible family members.  They provide social support services led by those with lived perinatal mood disorders via a warmline at 703-829-7152.  Text chat support is also available in English at 540-698-1277 or in Spanish at 757-550-4234.

UVA Teen & Young Adult Health Center

The Teen and Young Adult Health Center is a primary care center for teenagers and young adults up to age 25. The team is specially trained to work with adolescents and help young adults with the unique challenges they face, including eating disorders treatment and assessment, healthy lifestyle counseling, and transgender health services.
